State Judiciary Strategic Plan

Under the leadership of a newly appointed Court Administrator, The Ripples Group assisted a State Judiciary in the development of a strategic plan to address user needs, improve case  flows, enhance access to justice, and develop its workforce.

Project Management for a State Medicaid Agency's Implementation of the Affordable Care Act

The Ripples Group supported a Medicaid state agency redesign its operations to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and transition its existing and new members to the new coverage plans with no interruption in service.

Studying Operational & Financial Feasibility for Regional Lock-Ups

Faced with declining jail populations and an increased percentage of arrestees experiencing substance use and mental health episodes during overnight lock-up, a capital planning agency considered establishing regional lock-ups for overnight arrestees. The Ripples Group was retained to determine the operational and financial feasibility of such a solution.

Improving Opioid Prescribing

In light of a governor's mandate, The Ripples Group initiated a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to inform the launch of a new Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) and propel the state to national leadership in the fight to reduce opioid abuse.

The Ripples Group evaluated the fairness, timeliness, and independence of a child welfare agency’s appeal process. Media attention of the evaluation heightened public scrutiny of the evaluation and its findings.

Leveraging Electronic Document Management Enabling State Medicaid Operations to Go 98% Paperless

The Electronic Document Management (EDM) project for a State’s Medicaid program began with the goal of converting the majority of statewide operations from paper-based to electronic processing. The intent was two-fold, both to improve operational effectiveness and to improve support for Medicaid Participants.  The Ripples Group guided the agency from concept to pilot to statewide implementation.

Strategically Improving Outcomes for Children with Disabilities & Developmental Delays

The Ripples Group assisted a State Department of Health in the development of a federally mandated strategic plan to improve outcomes for children aged 0-3 with disabilities and developmental delays. The resulting plan developed a multi-pronged approach to improving positive social-emotional outcomes, an implementation plan and timeline, and a comprehensive evaluation plan to assess efforts and outcomes. The strategic plan was used as a federal, best practice example for other states in the development of their own plans.

Building a New, Highly Visible Medical Marijuana Program and Getting It Right

In early 2013, the state department of health faced a major challenge and looked to The Ripples Group to solve it.  A voter initiative had just legalized Medical Marijuana in the state and the department needed a trusted advisor to develop the patient registry and inspection operation in the high-profile program. 

Formulating a Strategic Road Map for Public Education Capital Funding

Following the appointment of a new executive director, The Ripples Group collaborated with a quasi-independent government authority to develop a new strategy which directed capital funding to public schools.
